Why We Started BUMO

Hi there, Angeline and Ying here :)
We didn’t set out to build a brand, we just wanted to leave the house without feeling like a pack mule.
We were in different places — Angeline was parenting two toddlers while pregnant and running a business, while Ying was knee-deep in leather swatches and cat fur.
But we had the same question:
Why do products for parents make us feel less like ourselves?
Everything felt like a compromise.
Too bulky, too baby-ish, too chaotic.
And somewhere in between all the diapers, schedules, and 3AM Google searches,
we started designing something different.
We called it BUMO, meaning “parents” in Korean.
And to us, parents mean anyone who carries with care —
for little humans, furry ones, or just yourself.
We believe in products that are beautiful, functional, and quietly strong.
Because parents are all of that, too.
